These beauties are set into a strong sterling silver wire claw frame that has been hammer textured and oxidized.
Instead of the usual 4 prong setting, I have chosen to gift each piece with 6- 10 prongs to make the piece that little bit more durable.
With a traditional 4 prong setting sometimes if one of the prongs fails your whole pieces can come undone and the stone can slip out without you even noticing.
Having lots of prongs will keep your little new friend in its housing and should prevent it from ever wanting to get out of there by accident or rebellion
